Dr. Lakshmi’s journey began as early as Class 4 when she first dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. With unwavering determination, she overcame societal norms to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) in 1986, followed by a Gold Medal in M.V.Sc. Surgery from A.P.A.U. in 1991.
After a brief tenure in government service, Dr. Lakshmi envisioned a facility that would offer round-the-clock care for animals. In 1992, she turned that vision into reality by launching The Animal Care Clinic – among the first veterinary hospitals in India to operate 24/7 under the leadership of a woman.
